Applications
- Condition monitoring of lubricating oils and heavy fuel oils
- Fuel identification in storage tanks and tank trucks
- Monitoring of amine solutions in carbon capture processes
Description
The VTL-30 continuously measures key fundamental properties of liquids in real time: viscosity, temperature and density. This enables condition monitoring of lubricating oils, verification of heavy fuel oils and monitoring of oil quality during production and transportation.
Compact design for easy integration
The compact sensor design enables easy integration. Depending on the process connection, the device measures only 10 cm in length. This makes the VTL-30 suitable for integration into a wide range of applications, whether in OEM products such as analyzers or in systems for monitoring the condition of fuels and oils.
Innovative technology with real-time measurement and high repeatability
The VTL-30 is based on innovative MesoScale® technology. This microresonator-based sensor technology delivers accurate measurement results in a wide range of liquids. It enables short response times and high repeatability. In addition, the sensor calculates confidence factors in real time, thus providing information about the quality and validity of the measurements.
Low-maintenance and robust design
The robust design, combined with wetted parts made of 316L stainless steel, ensures high resistance under harsh operating conditions. The VTL-30 provides measurements with very low drift over time. Thanks to its design without moving parts, regular calibration is not required.
The VTL-30 is approved for use in hazardous areas in accordance with ATEX, IECEx and FM.
Measurement technology for monitoring carbon capture efficiency
Among the core technologies used for carbon capture, amine solutions are currently among the most widely used. By measuring viscosity and density, the VTL-30 is suitable for monitoring amine concentration as a key parameter for the performance of these solutions.
