Note 1: For pseudo-absolute pressure, a relative pressure sensor is used in conjunction with the integrated barometer to provide an absolute pressure reading. The total measurement uncertainty is given as % of full scale of the relative pressure range. The total measurement uncertainty of the barometer (24 h) is < 0.5 mbar, with a drift of < 0.33 mbar/year (typical).

External Features of the DPI 610E
The illustration shows a pneumatic device for hazardous areas.
Pressure Generation
The innovative design of the DPI 610E pressure generation system, combined with carefully selected components, ensures simple and efficient pressure generation as well as precise control. With enhanced pressure generation features, the DPI 610E offers higher pressures and volumes with market-leading pneumatic pressure ranges from 95% vacuum up to 35 bar/500 psi/3.5 MPa. A simple selector switch allows for easy switching from vacuum to pressure, and the required pressure can be generated with just a few pump strokes. Fine adjustments can be made using the integrated volume controller, and decreasing pressure calibration points are achieved with the precision-controlled vent valve.
The pneumatic version is supplied with a dirt separator to prevent contamination of the device itself and the system to be tested by dirt, deposits, and moisture. The pneumatic pressure range is -0.95 to 35 bar/500 psi/3.5 MPa (relative pressure). An internal overpressure valve safely vents into the interior of the housing to protect the internal pressure sensor. The relief pressure is factory set for the ordered sensor/pressure range.
The hydraulic version features an external 100 ml tank, making the hydraulic oil or water level always visible, a suction pump to remove air from the connected system, and a booster to quickly and easily generate pressure up to 1,000 bar/15,000 psi/100 MPa.
- The range for hydraulic pressure generation is 1,000 bar/15,000 psi/100 MPa (absolute pressure).
- An internal overpressure valve safely vents back into the tank to protect the internal pressure sensor. The relief pressure is factory-set for the ordered sensor/pressure range.
A zero pressure correction is available for relative/differential pressure sensors.
Use any pressure units for your specific application: mbar, bar, Pa (N/m2), hPa, kPa, MPa, mmHg at 0°C, cmHg at 0°C, mHg at 0°C, inHg at 0°C, kg/cm2, kg/m2, mmH2O at 20°C, cmH2O at 20°C, mH2O at 20°C, torr, atm, psi, lb/ft2, inH2O at 4°C, inH2O at 20°C, inH2O at 60°F, ftH2O at 20°C, ftH2O at 4°C, ftH2O at 60°F, mmH2O at 4°C, cmH2O at 4°C, mH2O at 4°C, custom
Pneumatic versions feature an integrated barometer that allows the use of relative pressure and absolute pressure sensors in pseudo ranges. For hydraulic versions, we offer an overpressure measurement mode for absolute pressure sensors (10 bar and higher).
Pressure Measurement Tools
All test results can be saved and exported to a PC.
It is used to determine if there is a leakage in the system by measuring the pressure change over a specified period. The leakage test can also be conducted using the RTD sensor to record temperature changes over time. Customizable stabilization/waiting time (up to 60 minutes) and test periods (1 second to 480 minutes) with a live countdown timer.
Used to check whether safety or relief valves operate as intended when the pressure exceeds safe pressure limits, and whether they return to the normal closed position when the pressure returns within normal operating pressure limits.
This function checks the response of pressure switches when they reach their set trip points and their reset when the pressure is back within normal operating pressure limits. Additionally, at the end of each test, the hysteresis value is calculated.
Options for Measurement Procedures
Scaling
Allows the scaling of measured values to custom units with user-defined unit labels. For example, mA can be expressed as a percentage. Flow correction enables the scaling of outputs from differential flow meters.
Filter
Provides a filtered measurement by displaying a moving average of the last 10 measurements. Delivers a more stable measurement value in noisy measurements. Can be applied to all types of measurements.
Tare (Taring)
Temporary zero offset function for 0 to 100% of the full scale value by subtracting the current measured value from subsequent measurements. Can be applied to all types of measurements.
Alarm
User-adjustable alarms with visual warnings (bell icon, pressure reading, and flashing backlight). Can be applied to all types of measurements.
Min/Max/Mean (Minimum/Maximum/Mean)
Provides instant minimum, maximum, and mean values for each type of measurement that is recorded and displayed.
Flow (Throughput)
Performs a square root calculation for the pressure measurement value.
