Every SITRANS FC Coriolis flow meter consists of a SITRANS FCSX00 sensor and a SITRANS FCT0X0 transmitter. All sensors can be combined with compact or remotely mounted transmitters (SITRANS FCS100 precision sensors can only be combined with remotely mounted transmitters).

How does a Coriolis flow meter work?

The Coriolis effect is the driving force behind the exceptional performance of SITRANS FC flow meters.

Two symmetrical metal tubes are set into vibration by an excitation coil in the middle section of the tubes. When liquids or gases flow through these tubes, a phase shift occurs – similar to water hoses. The receiver coils then measure the spatial and temporal displacement. This determines the amount of liquid or gas flowing through.
