The difference between PTC165 and PTC165i essentially comes down to the integrated measurement capability:

1. Integrated measuring instrument (PTC165i only)

   • The PTC165i includes a built-in measuring instrument for resistance thermometers (RTDs), thermocouples, and electrical standard signals (mA, V, switch tests).

   • By contrast, the PTC165 requires an external measuring instrument to capture and display the DUT signals.

2. Automation & Time Savings

   • With the PTC165i, DUTs can be connected directly to the calibrator → enabling fully automatic calibration and the simultaneous testing of multiple sensors.

   • With the PTC165, readings must be captured manually and compared with the calibrator.
