The Crowcon DetectiveIQ is a rugged, connected multi-gas area monitor designed for temporary worksite and hazardous area monitoring. The device can monitor up to seven gases simultaneously in real time, making it ideal for applications where permanently installed gas detection systems are impractical.
Typical applications include turnarounds and shutdowns, maintenance and hot work, confined space operations and temporary worksites in industrial, chemical, petrochemical and energy environments.
Real-Time Multi-Gas Detection
DetectiveIQ features interchangeable sensor slots and supports a wide variety of sensor technologies including electrochemical, IR, MPS™, pellistor, PID and long-life O2 sensors. Depending on the configuration, up to seven gases can be monitored simultaneously.
For key gases, the instrument provides a T90 response time of less than 20 seconds. High-visibility visual and audible alarms provide immediate warning when hazardous gas concentrations are detected.
Outstanding Battery Life
For extended temporary monitoring applications, DetectiveIQ offers exceptionally long operating times. With a suitable sensor configuration, the instrument provides a battery life of more than 101 days in diffusion mode at 20 °C, significantly reducing the need for frequent charging and device replacement.
Bluetooth® and Mesh Networking
Bluetooth® connectivity allows DetectiveIQ to communicate with the Crowcon Connect App. Integrated mesh networking also enables wireless alarm passing between interconnected DetectiveIQ units.
This allows multiple devices to be deployed as a flexible temporary safety network. When one unit detects a hazardous condition, alarm information can be transmitted across the network to help provide rapid warning throughout the monitored area.
Optional Sampling up to 30 Metres
In addition to standard diffusion monitoring, an optional pumped module is available. This enables remote gas sampling over distances of up to 30 metres (100 ft), making it particularly useful for checking tanks, vessels, confined spaces and other difficult-to-access locations.
Rugged Design for Demanding Environments
DetectiveIQ is designed for demanding industrial environments. Its rugged ASA and Pebax construction provides IP66 and IP68 ingress protection, while the operating temperature range extends from -20 to +55 °C.
The modular design also simplifies servicing and maintenance. Sensor modules and key external components can be replaced quickly, helping to minimise downtime and simplify routine maintenance.
