F404T – AC/DC multifunction clamp meter for photovoltaic systems with patented AutoCheck function
The F404T is an AC/DC multifunction clamp meter specifically designed for work on photovoltaic systems. It reliably verifies the absence of DC current in module strings, providing the basis for safe working conditions before any intervention on the system. Its key advantage: the patented AutoCheck function allows the correct operation of the clamp meter to be verified before the actual current-free test is performed.

When opening a string that continuously carries direct current, there is a risk of an electric arc that can endanger personnel and cause considerable damage to equipment. An incorrectly configured or defective standard clamp meter may falsely indicate that no current is flowing, creating an additional safety hazard. The F404T addresses this risk with an integrated self-test function that confirms the correct operation of the clamp meter in three simple steps before each test. In addition, its 12-bit TRMS acquisition method covers a broad measurement range for AC and DC currents and voltages, while a type K thermocouple supports spot temperature monitoring on photovoltaic modules.
