Datasheet
Particle Monitor Patrick
Article number 3160-00-76.00
Device type Optical particle monitor
Measuring principle Light extinction
Description
Description The Patrick particle monitor detects the contamination level and the trend of fluid purity. The particle monitor is calibrated with test dust in accordance with ISO 11943. Particle measurement is carried out according to the light extinction principle.
Cleanliness class indication ISO 4406:99
SAE AS4059E
NAS 1638
GOST 17216
Features
Output signal 4 to 20 mA
Operating hours counter Integrated
Viscosity influence Viscosity-independent with regard to the flow rate
Degree of protection IP67
Display ± 90° rotating display
Function
Measuring setup The particle monitor consists of a measuring cell, a laser beam and a photodiode.
Measuring principle The laser beam passes through the measuring cell and hits the photodiode. If a particle crosses the laser beam, the intensity detected by the photodiode decreases depending on the size of the particle.
Designated Use
Application Measurement of contamination in hydraulic and oil industry applications with non-aggressive fluids.
Benefit Continuous monitoring of the purity allows changes in the machine to be detected very quickly.
