Description

The testo 862 thermal imaging camera combines a compact design with highly detailed thermal imaging and intelligent analysis functions. With dimensions of only 135 x 88 x 25 mm and a weight of 215 g, it is particularly suitable for mobile measurements, quick on-site checks and regular inspection tasks.

Two versions are available to suit different requirements. The testo 862-1 offers an infrared resolution of 160 x 120 pixels. The testo 862-2 operates with a higher resolution of 256 x 192 pixels, enabling an even more detailed display of thermal anomalies. Both versions feature a thermal sensitivity of less than 50 mK and a temperature measuring range from -10 to +550 °C.

Detailed Thermal Images and Fast Diagnostics

The thermal imaging camera reliably detects temperature differences and supports the user with integrated analysis functions. These include automatic hot and cold spot detection, Delta T calculation, up to five freely selectable measuring points and the determination of minimum and maximum temperatures within a measuring area.

The DeltaHeat mode supports the assessment of radiators and other heat sources. A special humidity mode is available for investigating moisture and potential mold formation. When used with the optional testo 605i thermo-hygrometer, temperature and humidity values can be transferred automatically to the thermal imaging camera via Bluetooth®.

Combined Thermal and Real Images

An integrated digital camera with a resolution of 2 MP provides a visible real image in addition to the thermal image. Both images can be combined in Fusion mode. This makes it easier to assign thermal anomalies to the respective component or measuring point.

Additional image modes include infrared image, real image, picture-in-picture mode and humidity mode. The digital zoom provides up to 4x magnification with the testo 862-1 and up to 6x magnification with the testo 862-2.

Wireless Measurement Data Transfer

The thermal imaging camera can be connected to compatible Testo measuring instruments via Bluetooth®. Measurements from the testo 605i thermo-hygrometer or the testo 770-3 clamp meter are transferred directly to the testo 862 and documented together with the thermal image.

The WLAN interface also enables communication with the testo Smart App. Stored images can be transferred via USB-C, which is also used to charge the integrated lithium-ion battery. The free testo IRSoft PC software is available for further analysis and documentation.

Robust Design for Daily Use

The robust IP54 housing protects the thermal imaging camera against dust and splash water. Drop resistance from a height of 1.5 m, together with tested shock and vibration resistance, allows the device to be used in workshops, industrial plants, facility management and mobile service applications.

The typical battery operating time is approximately three hours at +25 °C. A full charge takes approximately 170 minutes. A charging time of just 15 minutes provides approximately 25 minutes of additional operating time.
