The SITRANS FM MAG 8000 is a high-performance, battery-operated water meter for stand-alone flow measurement in water applications. The electromagnetic measuring system combines reliable measurement with intelligent display functions and is specifically designed for minimum power consumption.

The MAG 8000 is particularly suitable for installations where no external power supply is available or where maintenance-free operation over many years is required. Depending on the application, the power supply can be provided by an internal or external battery or by a battery-supported mains power supply.

The product range includes standard and special versions as well as sensor sizes from DN 25 to DN 1200 or 1″ to 48″. The instruments can be supplied as a compact version or as a remote solution with factory-mounted cable. Thanks to the robust housing with IP68 / NEMA 6P protection, the water meter is also suitable for demanding installation and environmental conditions.

The SITRANS FM MAG 8000 provides high measurement accuracy with a maximum uncertainty of up to 0.2 %. Typical application areas include abstraction and distribution networks as well as custody transfer or billing-related measuring points. The MAG 8000 version is intended for abstraction and distribution networks, while the MAG 8000 CT version is used for billing applications.

For easy commissioning and diagnostics, PC configuration is supported via Flow Tool and SIMATIC PDM. Additional functions such as integrated self-test, alarm and error detection, internal data logger, statistical and diagnostic functions as well as optional communication modules support efficient operation and high service friendliness.
