Dynisco PG4 Series Mechanical Pressure Gauges

The Dynisco PG4 Series includes mechanical pressure gauges for direct, local melt pressure indication on extruders and other polymer processing equipment. The gauges are especially suitable for applications requiring simple, maintenance-free pressure indication without the need for an external power supply.

Polymer pressure is sensed by a metal diaphragm mounted flush with the inside surface of the extruder barrel. This sealed diaphragm design helps eliminate grease and prevents melt contamination and gauge plugging. The pressure is indicated directly on the mechanical readout gauge.

Depending on the installation requirements, rigid snout and flexible stem versions are available. On the rigid snout version, the gauge head can be rotated 300° for unobstructed viewing. For applications involving high temperatures or restricted spaces, flexible stem versions allow the gauge to be mounted farther away from the process. Thermocouple or RTD configurations are also available to provide melt temperature measurement.
