The Dynisco DYMT Series melt temperature probes have been developed specifically to meet the requirements of the plastics industry. Due to their flexible design, they are suitable for use in both extrusion and injection molding applications. The probes provide reliable temperature measurement in plastic melt and are compatible with the mounting threads used for Dynisco melt pressure transducers.
The DYMT Series is available either as a flush-mounted version or with a sword-shaped probe tip. The sword-shaped temperature sensor provides a special design that reduces friction in the melt flow. The sword is rotatable and can be positioned in the direction of flow to minimize resistance. This makes the probe particularly suitable for applications where the temperature must be measured directly in the medium.
The melt temperature probes are available with different thermocouples or Pt100 elements. Depending on the version, the electrical connection is made via an IEC connector for thermocouples or a DIN connector for Pt100 elements. The wetted parts are made of 15-5 PH stainless steel, material no. 1.4545. The standard operating temperature is 0…350 °C; other temperature ranges are available on request.
