Dynisco TB422J Melt Temperature Thermocouple
The Dynisco TB422J is a melt temperature thermocouple used to measure the temperature of plastic melt as it moves through the extruder barrel. It is designed for applications where reliable temperature measurement directly in the process is required.
The rugged stainless steel probe includes a fiberglass insulated element and is designed for easy integration into extrusion applications. Its 1/2-20 UNF mounting thread supports installation in standard mounting configurations and allows the thermocouple to be used alongside Dynisco extrusion pressure transducers.
The TB422J provides a Type J thermocouple output and covers a temperature range from 0…900 °F. Immersion lengths from flush to 1″ are available, allowing the measurement point to be matched to the specific application. Dynisco melt temperature thermocouples are designed and manufactured to applicable ISA standards, with accuracy traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
