Dry-block function

The dry-block function was developed to enable straightforward temperature calibration in both laboratory and field applications. Optimum thermal coupling between the calibration block and the device under test is achieved by selecting the correct adapter sleeve. Ideally, the bore of the sleeve should have an internal diameter 0.5 mm larger than the external diameter of the device under test. Adapter sleeves make it possible to calibrate almost all straight temperature sensors with different lengths and diameters. The dry block covers the entire temperature range without requiring a change of calibration medium. The user does not need to consider viscosity, flash points or outgassing.
