Dynisco PT450FA / PT450TA Series
The Dynisco PT450FA / PT450TA Series includes flange-mounted and threaded melt pressure sensors for processing low-viscosity materials. The sensors are designed for pressure ranges from 0…250 psi to 0…10,000 psi and achieve accuracy down to ±0.25 % FSO depending on the pressure range. Their design makes them especially suitable as replacements for traditional “button-seal” units.
The PT450 Series is available in two versions: the PT450FA flanged version with flexible stem and the PT450TA threaded version. Both models are ideal for processing low-viscosity materials and for applications such as fibre spinning and polymer transport lines. The sensors withstand process temperatures up to 700 °F and are designed for reliable melt pressure measurement in demanding industrial applications.
The wetted parts are made of DyMax™ coated 17-4 PH stainless steel. The sensors feature a four active arm bonded Wheatstone bridge strain gauge, a 3.33 mV/V output signal and internal 80 % shunt calibration. Zero balance is specified in the vertical position, and the design takes into account the effect of elevation of the strain gauge housing above the diaphragm.
