The Dynisco PT42X Series includes pressure transducers with an additional flexible capillary tube between the strain gauge housing and the rigid stem. The PT422 and PT462 models are designed for applications where the strain gauge element cannot be mounted directly near the process due to high process temperatures, or where a flexible connection between the measuring point and the housing is required.
The sensors are suitable for media temperatures up to 400 °C and feature a liquid-filled transmission system. Pressure measurement is based on a four-arm Wheatstone bridge strain gauge. The integrated electrical shunt calibration allows the measuring signal to be checked easily. Depending on the accuracy requirement, the PT422 model with ±0.5 % accuracy and the PT462 model with ±1.0 % accuracy are available.
The PT42X Series covers pressure ranges from 0…250 psi to 0…30,000 psi. The material in contact with the media is 15-5 stainless steel, material no. 1.4545. Mounting thread versions 1/2-20 UNF-2A or M18 × 1.5 are available. The 6/18 option describes a rigid length of 6″ and a flexible length of 18″ between the rigid stem and the housing.
