Dynisco PT46X4 Series Pressure Sensors with SIL2
The Dynisco PT46X4 Series is designed for reliable melt pressure and process pressure measurements and is particularly suitable for applications requiring simple installation, repeatable measurements and high operational safety. The sensors provide an industry-standard 4…20 mA output signal and operate with an input voltage of 14…36 VDC.
The PT46X4 sensors use a robust measuring system with a four-arm bonded foil Wheatstone bridge strain gauge. The standard wetted parts are made of DyMax® coated 15-5 PH stainless steel. The series is available for pressure ranges from 0…500 to 0…30,000 psi and achieves an accuracy of ±0.5 % FS combined error, including linearity, repeatability and hysteresis.
Zero and span can be adjusted using side-mounted potentiometers. In addition, zeroing can be performed locally via the zero potentiometer or remotely by shorting two pins together. Internal 80 % FS ±0.5 % shunt calibration supports verification of the measuring signal during operation.
The series meets important safety requirements for machinery and safety-related control systems. The PT46X4 sensors are self-certified based on an exida™ FMEDA analysis and meet Safety Integrity Level 2 as well as Performance Level “c” according to EN ISO 13849-1 when properly installed. The optional Guardian function provides a separate relay output signal that can be used as a field-settable safety output.
