DatasheetThe switched-mode DC-DC converters type 2218.2 to 2218.8 are compact voltage converters for wall mounting. They are suitable for industrial applications, mobile electrical systems and technical installations where a defined output voltage must be supplied from an existing DC input voltage.
The series covers a rated output power range from 60 to 240 W. Depending on the version, nominal input voltages of 24 VDC, 48 VDC or 60 VDC are available. The input voltage ranges are 18 to 28 VDC, 42 to 56 VDC or 50 to 70 VDC depending on the type.
On the output side, versions with 5 VDC, 12 VDC or 24 VDC are available. Depending on the model, the output current is 5 A, 10 A or 20 A. The output voltage is stabilized and CV stability for load changes from 0 to 100 % is 250 mV.
The converters are short-circuit protected and do not provide galvanic isolation between input and output. Depending on the version, electronic overload protection is available and parallel connection is possible. The settling time for load changes from 10 to 100 % is 1.5 ms.
Cooling is provided by convection or by a fan, depending on the version. The units are designed for an operating temperature range of 0 to 35 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 85 % at 35 °C. Most versions provide IP30 protection rating and protection class III; type 2218.8 is supplied in an aluminium die-cast enclosure with IP65 protection.
