Dynisco 1496 & 1498 Series Temperature Controllers
The Dynisco 1496 and 1498 Series Temperature Controllers are compact DIN-mounted controllers for precise temperature control of extruders and industrial plastics processing equipment. With two DIN sizes and multiple output configurations, the controllers are suitable for twin and single screw extruders, hot die and adapter zones, additional heat/cool barrel zones and other temperature control applications.
The units can be used either as PID controllers or as indicators. Depending on the application, heat-only control, heat/cool control or indicator/controller operation can be selected. The PID control function supports pre-tune, self-tune and manual-tune, as well as on/off control. This allows the controllers to be quickly matched to specific process requirements and machine configurations.
The 1496 and 1498 Series provide a universal input for various thermocouples and 3-wire RTD sensors. Up to three output configurations are available for flexible implementation of control and alarm functions. Process and loop alarms improve process control security, while Modbus RS485 communication enables integration into higher-level control and monitoring systems.
