The Dynisco Button Seal Process Adapter is a sensor accessory that enables the installation of a 1/2″-20 UNF melt pressure sensor into a button seal style process mounting port. The sensor can be supplied by Dynisco or by another manufacturer.
Each Button Seal Process Adapter is made to order according to the existing process mounting port. The flange attachment is application-specific and can be supplied as a one-piece solid construction, threaded design, or threaded and welded version. Dimensions such as diameter, thickness, bolt-hole diameter, mounting bolt pattern and flange geometry are adapted to the process sizing requirements.
The standard material of construction for the adapter body and flange is 17-4 stainless steel. Depending on the application and process conditions, other materials such as 303 stainless steel, parkerized carbon steel, aluminum 6061, Hastelloy or other materials can also be specified. The pressure and temperature ranges depend on the selected sensor and the specific adapter design.
