DatasheetThe switched-mode DC-DC converters type 2218.2 to 2218.8 are compact DC voltage converters for wall mounting. They are suitable for industrial applications, mobile electrical systems and technical installations where a regulated output voltage must be provided from an existing DC input voltage.
The series covers a rated output power range from 60 to 240 W. Depending on the version, input voltage ranges of 18 to 28 VDC, 42 to 56 VDC or 50 to 70 VDC are available. Output versions with 5 VDC, 12 VDC or 24 VDC are available.
The units are short-circuit protected and do not provide galvanic isolation between input and output. Depending on the type, the output voltage is stabilized and provides low ripple. The settling time for load changes from 10 to 100 % is 1.5 ms.
Depending on the version, cooling is provided by convection or by a fan. The units are designed for an operating temperature range of 0 to 35 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 85 % at 35 °C.
Most versions use 6.3 mm flat connectors for electrical connection. Type 2218.7 uses M6 bolts, while type 2218.8 is connected via cables. Type 2218.8 also features an aluminium die-cast enclosure with IP65 protection rating.
