Shows exactly where compressed air leaks are on the screen and makes finding compressed air leaks much easier – even in harsh environments!
How much energy can be saved?
Around 10% of total industrial electricity consumption is used for compressed air generation in industrialized countries, and in Germany the figure is as high as 14%. Leakages are the main factor for energy losses and most compressed air systems show losses in the range of about 20 % to 40 %, in bad systems even more than 60%. Fixing compressed air leaks is the most effective action for reducing the energy consumption.
How is ultrasound made visible?
The Ultrasound Camera will let you find compressed air leaks much faster than traditional leak detectors and makes to process much more intuitive and easier. This is how it works: The Ultrasound Camera uses 30 digital mems, an FPGA, and a processor for calculating the ultrasound map. The used algorithm is called beam forming. The ILD 500 displays the overlayed image on the display to the user automatically.
Why is the ILD500/510 the most ergonomic leak detector?
Finding leaks is a recurring marathon and not a single sprint. Due to its light weight (600 grams) and long battery life (7 hours) the ILD 500/ ILD 510 was made for finding compressed air leaks the whole day. Also, the holster will support the user because the wight must not be carried the whole time and gives him/ her an additional free hand if needed.
Why finding compressed air leaks does not necessarily save energy?
To reduce the energy consumption the compressed air leaks must be also fixed. To prioritize and plan the repair – information must be stored right at the leak place. The ILD stores
- where is the leak?
- what needs to be done to fix it?
- What are the estimated costs of each leak?
- image of a leak showing the leaking element
What happens after the audit?
The generated data of an audit of sometimes several hundred leaks can be managed locally or online using the Leak Reporter Software. With just a few clicks, automatic leakage reports (PDF, CSV) can be generated showing all important information about each leak and a cover sheet with a general overview.
Is the Ultrasound Camera compatible to my current ILD 500/ ILD 510?
The short answer: Yes! You will have to update the software of your ILD and eventually; we will have to exchange the mainboard.
