Dynisco Guardian Series Pressure Sensors for Safety Control
The Dynisco Guardian Series enhances proven Dynisco pressure sensors with an integrated relay circuit for additional safety and compatibility with safety-related machinery requirements. The sensors meet requirements according to EN ISO 13849-1 and provide Performance Level “c” or “d” as well as NFPA 79 requirements for pressure sensors, without the need for redundant sensors or a separate relay module.
According to EN ISO 13849-1, a pressure sensor is considered a machine component when it is used as part of a safety function in a machine. Guardian sensors enable monitoring of an adjustable pressure threshold and provide a relay output signal when the defined pressure condition is exceeded. This allows the signal to be integrated directly into a safety function to support a safe operating state of the machine.
The Guardian Series has been self-certified based on test reports and FMEDA analyses performed by the independent agency exida™. Single sensors meet Performance Level “c” according to the Machinery Directive without the need for redundant sensors. Performance Level “d” can be achieved when two Guardian sensors are installed in a Category 3 configuration. The Guardian option is available for many Dynisco sensor types and can be ordered as an option code at the end of the respective model code.
