Dynisco DYN-X-MA Series Pressure Sensors with SIL2
The Dynisco DYN-X-MA Series includes robust melt pressure sensors with a 4…20 mA output signal for general melt pressure measurements. The sensors are designed for applications requiring simple installation, reliable measurements and good repeatability. Thanks to the amplified output signal, the DYN-X-MA sensors are suitable for direct use with PLCs, control systems and industrial readout instruments.
The DYN-X-MA sensors offer an accuracy of ±1.0 % FSO combined error, including linearity, repeatability and hysteresis. Zero and span can be adjusted via side-mounted potentiometers. In addition, zeroing can be performed locally via the zero potentiometer or remotely by shorting two pins together. The standard wetted parts are made of DyMax® coated 15-5 PH stainless steel.
A key advantage of the DYN-X-MA Series is its safety-related rating. The sensors have been evaluated based on an exida™ FMEDA analysis and are self-certified. They meet Safety Integrity Level 2 as well as Performance Level “c” according to EN ISO 13849-1 when installed according to Category 1. Optionally, the series can be equipped with a separate relay output that can be used as an application-specific safety output to place machinery in a safe state.
