The PV624 is a portable hybrid pressure controller base station that combines the advantages of manual pressure generation with fully automatic control. When used with the DPI620G electrical calibrator and interchangeable PM620/PM620T pressure modules from the GENii advanced modular calibration system, it creates a uniquely powerful, flexible, standalone hybrid pressure controller. The PV624 offers a simple and fast method for maintaining precise pressure setpoints. It supports large test volumes and long battery life, making it ideal for field pressure testing and calibration, thanks to its rugged design and tool-free pressure connections.
Druck PV624 Portable Hybrid Pressure Controller
The PV624 automatically switches between fast, high-volume manual pressure generation and fully automatic precision control to quickly reach and maintain a stable setpoint. For rapid pressure increase (or vacuum generation), the hand pump initiates part of the pressure change, after which it is automatically isolated and the automatic controller takes over seamlessly. For vacuum or downward pressure regulation, the PV624 uses automatic venting. Once the setpoint is reached, the PV624 maintains pressure automatically, compensating for adiabatic effects or small leaks.
Modular Integration
The PV624 connects physically or wirelessly via Bluetooth® to any Bluetooth®-enabled DPI620G electrical calibrator. A simple hand-tight screw connection (no tools required) allows both electrical and pressure connection to a wide range of interchangeable PM620/PM620T pressure modules. Using its internal barometer, the PV624 enables users to convert a pressure module from gauge to pseudo-absolute or from absolute to pseudo-gauge reference type.
Precision Engineering
The housing materials and precision molding ensure the PV624 is robust, weather-resistant, and ready for the toughest environments. Supplied with a dirt trap to minimize contamination from debris, moisture, and particulates, protecting both the instrument and the system under test.
Ease of Use
The PV624 features a tool-free quick-fit pressure connector that provides a finger-tight, leak-free seal up to 20 bar. Delivered with G1/8″ female and 1/8″ NPT female adapters (more options available).
Supplied with an AC adapter and rechargeable battery pack, which can be charged inside the unit or swapped in the field for a spare battery (optional battery and charger available).
Druck PV600 Series Portable Pressure Base Stations
The PV624 extends the Druck PV600 series with a hybrid control base station that complements the GENii modular calibration system. Its unique hybrid pressure generation and control technology enhances the PV621/622/623 manual stations with automatic precision from vacuum up to 100 bar (1,500 psi) pneumatically and up to 1,000 bar (15,000 psi) hydraulically.
GENii Advanced Modular Calibration System
The Druck GENii advanced modular calibration system consists of four core components, enabling multifunctionality that once required several instruments:
- DPI620G – Electrical/multifunction calibrator with HART/Fieldbus communicator
- PM620/PM620T – Interchangeable pressure modules (from 0.7 bar / 10 psi to 20 bar / 300 psi compatible with PV624)
- MC620G – Pressure module carrier
- PV62XG series – Pressure-generating base stations (including PV624)
This flexible, user-selectable system enables different DPI620G configurations to be used as a standalone electrical/multifunction calibrator, as a pressure calibrator with module carrier, or fully integrated with a pressure-generating base station and pressure module.
