DPI610E-Aero is a cost-effective, yet flexible portable calibrator for precise leak testing of aircraft pitot-static systems.
Configured as a single-channel unit—selectable for altitude or airspeed testing—it is fully self-contained with manual pressure and vacuum generation as well as venting. Conversion to aeronautical units is provided; the instrument also includes leak and switch tests along with other functions.
The pneumatic system of the DPI610E-A limits the maximum rate of climb and descent to protect delicate aircraft instrumentation—e.g., rate-of-climb/vertical speed indicators (RoC/VSI).
With a 5 m aviation hose (6 mm internal diameter) and an attached RoC meter, at a total volume of 1 litre the maximum climb rate is ± 6000 ft/min (the same applies for descent).
The pressure connection can be supplied as AN4, AN6, Hansen or Stäubli quick-connect; an integral valve enables controlled pressure let-down to ambient pressure at ground.
