DPI610E-Aero is a cost-effective yet versatile portable calibrator for precise leak testing of aircraft Pitot-static systems.
Configured as a single-channel instrument – selectable for either altitude or airspeed testing – it is fully self-contained with manual pressure and vacuum generation as well as venting capability. The conversion to aviation-specific units is integrated; the instrument also provides leak and switch tests along with additional functions.
The pneumatic system of the DPI610E-A limits the maximum rate of climb and descent to protect sensitive aircraft instruments such as rate-of-climb/vertical speed indicators (RoC/VSI).
With a 5 m aviation hose (6 mm internal diameter) and a connected RoC instrument, and a total volume of 1 litre, the maximum rate of climb is ± 6,000 ft/min (the same applies to the descent rate).
The pressure connector can be supplied with AN4, AN6, Hansen or Stäubli quick couplings. An integrated valve allows controlled pressure venting to ambient pressure on the ground.
